Terms of Use

These terms govern use of wheelsback.com (the "Site"). "WheelsBack" is the name under which the Site is published; in these terms and in the privacy policy it means the publisher of the Site under that name, and its successors. Using the Site means accepting these terms. Anyone who does not accept them may simply not use the Site.

The Site publishes general information about state laws and agency procedures relating to driving after a DUI. It is not legal advice and does not create an attorney–client relationship. The Legal Disclaimer is part of these terms.

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available". Reasonable efforts are made to cite primary sources and to date each record, but WheelsBack makes no warranty, express or implied, that any content is accurate, complete, current, or fit for a particular purpose, or that the Site will be available without interruption.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WheelsBack is not liable for any loss or damage — direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or otherwise — arising from use of or reliance on the Site or on any linked site. Decisions about licensing, insurance, interlock installation, or legal matters are the reader's own and are properly made with the relevant agency, court, or licensed counsel.

The Site may be read and used for any lawful purpose. The state records, evidence files, map images and embeddable widget are licensed for reuse, including commercial and automated reuse, under the terms in the next section. Page prose, the design and the WheelsBack mark are not covered by that license: quoting a page with attribution and a link is welcome, but bulk copying of page text for republication is not permitted without written consent.

The compilation, page copy, design, and the WheelsBack name and mark are owned by WheelsBack. Statutes, regulations, and agency publications quoted or linked on the Site are public records of the issuing state and are not claimed by WheelsBack.

The downloadable dataset (/data/) is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0): it may be copied, adapted and republished, including commercially, provided WheelsBack is credited and linked. The map images under /maps/ and the embeddable state-lookup widget may be used under the same terms. Page text may be quoted with attribution.

Links to state agencies, legislatures, and vendors are provided for reference. WheelsBack does not control those sites, does not endorse them, and is not responsible for their content or practices.

Where advertising placements or affiliate links are offered, they are labeled where they appear and described on the disclosures page. The conditions stated on the advertising page at the time of purchase, together with these terms, form the agreement with the advertiser, who is responsible for compliance with the rules of professional conduct of its jurisdiction. No placement is a recommendation, referral, or rating.

The Site is published in the United States, in English and Spanish, for a United States audience. It describes US state requirements only and is not directed to residents of the European Union, the United Kingdom, or any other jurisdiction outside the United States. The Spanish pages are translations of the English pages; statute and agency quotations are never translated. If the English and Spanish versions of these terms, the disclaimer, or the privacy policy differ, the English version controls.

These terms, and any dispute arising out of use of the Site, are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any claim relating to the Site shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware. This clause applies to the extent permitted by the law of the reader's state of residence.

If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.

These terms may be updated from time to time; the current version is always published at this address, and the date of the latest revision is 2026-09-11. Continued use of the Site after a change means acceptance of the revised terms.
