General information, not legal advice

WheelsBack provides general information about state laws and agency procedures relating to ignition interlock devices, SR-22 and FR-44 filings, and driver-license reinstatement. The information is published for reference only. It is not legal advice, it is not a legal opinion, and it does not describe how any rule applies to a particular person, offense, or court order.

Reading this site, emailing the site, or relying on anything published here does not create an attorney–client relationship. WheelsBack is not a law firm and is not a substitute for a licensed attorney in the relevant jurisdiction.

Accuracy and currency

Laws, fees, forms, and agency procedures change, sometimes without notice. Each state record cites the primary source it was taken from and carries the date it was last verified, but no guarantee is made that any page reflects the law on the day it is read. Where a page and the cited source differ, the source controls.

The site contains no interpretation of how a rule applies to individual circumstances. Details such as prior offenses, blood-alcohol level, refusal of a chemical test, age, commercial licensing, and the terms of a specific court order can change the applicable requirement.

No endorsements or referrals

WheelsBack does not rank, rate, recommend, or endorse any ignition interlock vendor, insurer, or attorney. Vendors appear because a state licensing agency lists them as approved; inclusion is drawn from the agency's list, not from any relationship with the vendor. The site does not refer readers to attorneys and does not accept payment for inclusion in, or the order of, any state record. Paid placements and affiliate links, where they exist, sit outside the state records, are labeled where they appear, are described on the disclosures page, and are not a recommendation.

Spanish version

The Spanish version of the site (/es/) translates explanations only. Statute and agency quotations are never translated and appear in English, labelled as such, because a translated quotation is a paraphrase and no longer evidence. Where the Spanish text and the English text differ, the English text controls; where either differs from the cited source, the source controls.
